Please take notice that Bucksport Generation LLC at 2 River Road in Bucksport, ME 207-469-1325, is intending to file on or about November 10, 2016 an application with the Maine Department of Environmental Protection ("Department") for the transfer of all Department-issued licenses concerning the facility or project located at the same address, but operated under the name of Bucksport Mill LLC.
Processing of the application will occur pursuant to 38. M.R.S.A Sections 480 et seq., 481 et seq. and Section 401 of Federal Water Pollution Control Act; 38. M.R.S.A Sections 344, 590, and 06-096 CMR 115 and 116; 38. M.R.S.A Section 441 (A); 38 M.R.S.A. Section 1301 to 1319 (Y), and 06-096 CMR 400, 405 and 419; 38 M.R.S.A Sections 655 (1) (N), 656 (1) (E) (1) and 1760 (29) and the Department's Rules Concerning the Processing of Applications and Other Administrative Matters, 06-096 CMR 2.
The transfer application is for all Site Location of Development Act (SLODA), Natural Resources Protection Act (NRPA) Licenses; Part 70 Air Emissions License, Maine Pollutant Discharge Elimination System, Waste Water Discharge License, Solid Waste License for Agronomic Utilization, Tax Exemption permit, and outstanding applications that pertain to the power generation facility and associated equipment.
Requests for the Board of Environmental Protection to assume jurisdiction over the application or requests for a hearing on the application must be submitted to the Department in writing no later than 20 days after the application is accepted as complete for processing.
The application and supporting documentation are available for review at the Department of Environmental Protection offices in Augusta, or at appropriate Department regional offices during normal working hours. A copy of the application and supporting documentation may also be reviewed at Bucksport, ME municipal office located at 56 Main Street, Bucksport, ME 04416.
