The Department of Health and Human Services (DHHS), Division of Licensing and Regulatory Services (DLRS) has scheduled a public hearing on Tuesday April 12, 2016 from 9:00 a.m. - 2:00 p.m., at 41 Anthony Avenue, Augusta, Maine.
CONCISE SUMMARY: This hearing is being conducted under the Maine Medical Use of Marijuana Act to provide an opportunity to comment on a petition to add "Addiction to opiates and drugs derived from chemical synthesis" to the list of debilitating medical conditions set forth in 22 M.R.S. § 2422(2). The addition of Addiction to opiates and drugs derived from chemical synthesis to the list of debilitating medical conditions would allow qualifying patients to use medical marijuana to treat or alleviate Addiction to opiates and drugs derived from chemical synthesis, subject to the Maine Medical Use of Marijuana Act and Rules Governing the Maine Medical Use of Marijuana Program.
