The City of Belfast is looking to hire a contractor to supply equipment and labor to pave a stone dust mix to a compacted depth of 3" along a 10 foot X 2.2 miles of former railroad bed. The City will supply all of the stone dust mix and the City's Public Works Department will truck and deliver all mix to the paving equipment as the work proceeds.
The City has prepared a bid package which contains the required specifications and details to help qualified contractors prepare their bids. Bid packages can be procured on the City's web site at cityofbelfast.org or picked up at the City Manager's Office or by calling 338-3370 ext 10.
[u]Bids must be sealed and clearly marked "Paving Stone Dust Rail Trail " and submitted to the Belfast City Clerk's Office, 131 Church Street, Belfast, Maine 04915 no later than 10:00 am on Tuesday, April 12, 2016. A public bid opening will follow immediately thereafter.[/u]
The City reserves the right to reject any and all bids.
