REAL ESTATE FORECLOSURE BID

The Town of Glenburn is currently accepting bids for two (2) tax acquired properties. These properties are being offered on an as is/where is, and with all faults basis. The municipal officers will only convey the interest that the Town acquired in each property as a result of a matured tax lien and shall issue only a quitclaim deed to convey title to the tax acquired property or a bill of sale without covenant. The Town of Glenburn makes no warranties of any kind whatsoever regarding its title to the property; or the physical condition, location or value of the property; or compliance with any applicable federal, state or local law, ordinance and regulation, including land use ordinances. Each bid shall include the bidder's name, mailing address and phone number, and must be accompanied by a deposit in the form of a certified check or money order payable to the Town of Glenburn, in an amount equal to ten percent (10%) of the bid price. Any bid which does not contain the proper deposit may be rejected. A copy of the Town of Glenburn Real Estate Foreclosure Bid Property Information Packet that contains a list of the two (2) properties for bid as well as the conditions associated with the bid must be obtained at the Glenburn Town Office during regular business hours. Bids will be accepted until 5:00 pm on Thursday, June 16th, 2016. Bids should be submitted in a sealed envelope and addressed to: [font=font36821]Town of Glenburn, "Tax Acquired Property Bid" Attn: Michael Crooker 144 Lakeview Road Glenburn, ME 04401[/font] Bids are scheduled to be opened at the Glenburn Town Council meeting that is expected to begin at 7:00 PM on Thursday, June 16th, 2016 at the Glenburn Town Office, 144 Lakeview Road. The Town of Glenburn reserves the right to reject any or all bids; waive any defects, informalities and minor irregularities; to accept exceptions to these specifications; and make such award or act otherwise as it alone may deem is in the Town's best interest.
