NOTICE TO BIDDERS / INVITATION TO BID MAINE WATER STORAGE TANK IMPROVEMENTS PROJECT

The City of Ellsworth will receive sealed Bids for the Water Storage Tank Improvements Project at their office at One City Hall Plaza, Ellsworth, ME 04605, until 3:00 PM prevailing local time on August 15, 2018, at which time the bids will be publicly opened and read aloud. The Project consists of the installation of rechlorination systems and mixers in the High Street and State Street Water Tanks, installation of an interior and exterior coating system on the High Street Water Tank, and the installation of cathodic protection in the High Street, State Street, and Dollard Hill Water Tanks and all materials, equipment, services and construction inherent to the Work. The Work shall be substantially complete within 75 calendar days from the commencement of Contract Time and completed and ready for final payment 90 calendar days from the commencement of Contract Time. The Owner intends to issue a winter shutdown. The Owner intends to issue the Notice of Award within 15 calendar days of the Bid opening. The Project is funded in part by monies made available by the Drinking Water State Revolving Fund (DWSRF) and administered by the Maine Department of Health and Human Services (DHHS). Any person interested in Bidding on this Contract should thoroughly familiarize themselves with the DWSRF Supplemental General Conditions. Failure to comply with any of these conditions may result in the Bidder being determined non-responsive and therefore, not entitled to the award of this Contract. See Bidding Documents for full requirements. The Bidding Documents may be examined, and copies may be obtained, at the Issuing Office: Woodard & Curran, One Merchants Plaza, Suite 501, Bangor, ME 04401 starting on Wednesday, July 25, 2018. Paper copies of the Bidding Documents are available at the Issuing Office location for a non-refundable fee of $75.00. An additional non-refundable fee of $15.00 must be included if shipping is desired. Shipping shall be by UPS. The Bidding Documents are also available in electronic form on CD for a non-refundable fee of $25.00.
