The University of Maine is seeking responses to provide Core Facility Management Software. Core Facility Management Software is defined in this RFP as a web-based, enterprise, software solution, accessible by users across the state of Maine and beyond, which facilitates the identification of UMaine-based laboratory resources and related services, enables the scheduling or access to these resources, and provides a simplified customer billing experience. The resulting enterprise solution must comply with University of Maine System guidelines, be fully integrated with PeopleSoft, and provide user access through configurable GUIs (graphical user interfaces), allowing for a user experience that is consistent with an individual laboratory's local workflow requirements. This Core solution will standardize user access to UMaine's facilities and services. Through greater public awareness and a simplified user access model, year-over-year demand growth for these resources and services is the desired outcome.
