The Department of Defense, Veterans and Emergency Management is conducting a competitive bid process for the Northern Maine Readiness Center at the Skyway Industrial Park, in Presque Isle, Maine. Bids will be opened and read aloud at the Directorate of Facilities Engineering (DFE) Building 8, 194 Winthrop Street, Augusta, Maine, at 2:00 p.m. on June 14, 2018.
The Work of the Contract is to construct the new Northern Maine Readiness Center (NMRC) and other supporting facilities on the 10.4 acre parcel owned by the State of Maine at 6 Edgemont Drive in Presque Isle, Maine. The Work includes site clearing; construction of a 43,000 + square foot NMRC Facility; construction of access roads, drives, and parking areas, construction of sidewalks and plazas, concrete aprons & pads; installation fo fencing, gates, and bollards; providing site utilities to include water, sanitary, electric, telecommunications, propane, site lighting and generators; site excavation, backfill, grading, storm drainage, erosion control and final restorations; site plantings; installations of site signage; and all other tasks and miscellaneous work required for a complete project in accordance with Plans and Specifications prepared by WBRC Architects Engineers dated April 16, 2018.
