The City of Waterville (Owner) is requesting bid proposals for construction of improvements associated with RiverWalk at Head of Falls project. The scope of work includes drainage improvements, concrete walkways- including color concrete, stamped color concrete, concrete pavers, concrete cap for existing retaining wall, setting reclaim granite block retaining wall, fabrication and install of custom metal railing, wood pedestrian-bridge, wood boardwalk and overlook, wood gazebo, utilities, site lighting, furnishings, plantings, bituminous sidewalk and granite curbing. A complete description of the scope is included in the bid document.
A recommended pre-bid meeting with the City Engineer, project landscape architect and project civil engineer shall be held on February 6, 2018. Pre-bid meeting open to all site contractors and specialty subcontractors interested in the project. Meeting to be held in City Council Chambers, 3rd floor, City Hall, 93 Main Street, Waterville, ME at 2:00 PM. Existing site information will be reviewed and a site walk of the project area will follow.
Bid Documents available Tuesday January 23, 2018 and may be obtained by email request at RiverWalkBidders@waterville-me.gov or hard copies may be obtained at One Common Street, City Hall Waterville, office of City Manager or Mitchell & Associates 70 Center Street Portland (207-774-4427), call first to coordinate pick up of bid set. A fee of $50.00 will be required for hard copies.
The Owners are requesting that bids be received by Wednesday February 28, 2018; bids shall be received by the City of Waterville, City Manager's Office, clearly marked "Riverwalk at Head of Falls Project" Attn: Michael Roy, City Manager, by 10:00 AM.
