The project includes the installation of new traffic signals, pedestrian signals, crosswalks and curb radius modifications to Broad, Independent and Washington Street along with other incidental work. The project will also include non participating work which consisting of a section of storm water separation at the Broad/ Independent and Washington Street Intersection and a pavement grind and surface overlay on Summer Street, Independent Street a portion of Washington Street from the Bangor Police Station to the Kenduskeag Stream Bridge a distance of 1100 lf more or less. This work will be non participating to MDOT WIN 18645.00.
The Broad/ Independent/ Washington Street Intersection Improvements Project is a Maine Federal Aid Project No. STP 1864(500)X, MDOT WIN 18645.00, located at the intersection of Broad Street, Independent Street and Washington Street, Bangor, Maine.

must be received at the Office of the City of Bangor Purchasing Agent by
[font=font36821][u]2:00 PM, Wednesday, April 19, 2017.[/u][/font]
A [font=font36821]prebid meeting[/font] will be held on April 11, 2017 at 2:00 p.m. at the City of Bangor's Engineering Department, 73 Harlow Street, Bangor, Maine.
Bid security in the amount of 5% of the bid price will be required in the form of cash, a certified check or bid bond.
This project is subject to the Federal Labor Standards Provisions and Davis-Bacon Wage Rate Determination. All work shall be governed by State of Maine Department of Transportation, "Standard Specification", revision of November 2014, and "Standard Details", revision of November 2014.
The right is reserved by the City of Bangor to reject any and all bids or to waive informalities or defects in bids if it is deemed to be in the best interest of the City of Bangor. Bases of award of Contract is determined by the lowest qualified total project bid amount. The lowest bidder must have completed, or successfully completed a Highway construction, paving or project specific prequalification from MDOT to be considered for the award of this contract.
