Notice of Formal PUBLIC MEETING City of Brewer TO DISCUSS Improvements to signals and left turn lane at North Main Street / Betton Street and improve sidewalks; Improvements to signal detection at Main Street / Wilson Street and at Route 1A / Walton Street intersections. Wednesday, March 22, 2017 at 6:00 p.m. AT THE BREWER CITY HALL LOCATED AT 80 NORTH MAIN STREET, COUNCIL CHAMBERS, BREWER, MAINE The Maine Department of Transportation is seeking public input on the replacement of an existing traffic signal controller and battery back-up, provide 5 - section signal display, stripe a left turn lane Northbound on Main Street at Betton Street and sidewalk improvements. At Main Street and Wilson intersection the detection cameras will be replaced. At route 1A and Walton Street intersection, the detection cameras will be replaced and ADA upgrades for the sidewalk/crosswalk will be made. Please join us at 6:00 pm on Wednesday, March 22, 2017, held at the Brewer City Hall at 80 North Main Street, in the Council Chambers, at which time representatives from the MaineDOT and the design firm will discuss the proposed improvements, listen to concerns, receive comments, and answer questions from persons interested in the project to ensure transportation needs are being addressed.
