PUBLIC NOTICE REGARDING BOAT STORAGE

PUBLIC NOTICE regarding boat storage on the Appalachian Mountain Club's (AMC) property in the following townships and water bodies: T1 R12 WELS: Second Roach Pond, Penobscot Pond and Penobscot Bog. T7 R9 NWP: Big Wilder Pond, Little Wilder Pond, Boot Pond, Beaver Pond, Camp Pond, South Pond, Mud Pond, Rays Mill Pond, Big Houston Pond, Long Pond, Indian Pond, Dam Pond, Roaring Brook Pond, Lucia Pond, Sampson Pond and Lost Pond. Shawtown: First West Branch Pond, Second West Branch Pond, Fourth West Branch Pond, Trout Pond, Beaver Pond, Third Roach Pond, Fourth Roach Pond and Long Bog. Bowdoin College East Grant: First Little Lyford Pond, Second Little Lyford Pond and Lloyd Pond. Bowdoin College West Grant: Pearl Ponds, Horseshoe Pond, Mountain Brook Pond, Trout Pond, Baker Pond and Grassy Pond. Beaver Cove: West Branch of the Pleasant River. The Appalachian Mountain Club is pleased to provide public boat access and storage in the aforementioned townships. As a condition of this public use, all boats and canoes must be marked with a legible current ownership sticker. These stickers are available at the AMC's office in Greenville (located at 15 Moosehead Lake Rd.), as well as KIJM's Hedgehog and KIW Gatehouses. All boats stored on AMC conservation lands on previously named water bodies must have a current sticker by May 15, 2016. Any boats found without a sticker after this date will be removed and placed in storage. The AMC will retain these un-stickered boats for one year (until May 15, 2017), after which any unclaimed boats will be disposed of.
